Blog Of The Year Award!

Blog of the Year Award 3 star jpeg

Thank you to the Secret Keeper, to Song of the Sirens and Pat Woods for nominating my blog for the Blog Of The Year award 2012. I was also nominated  as an Inspiring Blog by Teacher As Transformer.  I must say, it is really great to be nominated. I am always amazed at the care people take over their blogs, and how many inspirational people I have met in blogland. Thank you, fellow bloggers, for your support.

I have nominated the following blogs for this award also. This is a way of saying, I appreciate you. I hope all those I have mentioned will accept this award. But please do not feel obligated, as this chain of appreciation does not come with expectations…if, however, you wish to participate, the instructions are below. Otherwise, you are all marvellous and much appreciated! Happy Christmas and an exciting new year of blogging!

Nominations for the “Best Blog of 2012″ awards

The Secret Keeper writes wonderful, inspiring poetry and haikus. She is generous to a fault of other bloggers and writers. She writes honestly about bipolar.

Children’s Books Heal Patricia Tilton reviews children’s books that heal. She introduces the reader to subjects that are often neglected and finds inspirational books with healing themes for children coming face to face with difficult issues.

This Kid Reviews Books Erik is an inspiration to children and adults alike. He reviews all manner of kids’ books and obviously has a great sense of humour!

Darlene Foster Supermegawoman, as she is known on twitter, is a children’s author, positive light, and, generally, an inspiring supermom.

Patricia Sands I love the travel aspect of Patricia’s blog. She takes us all over the world. She is a wonderful author and always generous in her support of others.

DarKasean This man’s blog is full of great, quirky poetry.

Vampire Maman writes a great blog from the perspective of being a vampire…a medium through which she delivers great wisdom for parenting.

Shawn MacKenzie’s Dragons Nest Shawn is a classic writer. I say that because she writes such great, intelligent prose. What’s more, she is an expert on all-things-dragon!

Teacher As Transformer Ivon writes an inspirational blog filled with soundbites of wisdom and wonderful poetry.

Pat Woods I have only just got to know Pat Woods, so I don’t really know what she writes yet. But I intend to remedy this in the New Year. She just looks really interesting!

A Bipolar Journey Through The Rabbit Hole I love this lady. She isn’t afraid to go out there and say how she feels.

Marta Pelrine Bacon  Marta is a quirky, interesting writer on all manner of subjects. She will be published on Plum Tree Books in the New Year, I will be introducing you to her beautiful range of cards and the children’s books series I am also doing with her.

Susie Bertie another of my favourite poets. Susie’s poetry is unique!

DiAnne Ebejer is a generally inspiring woman, friend and wonderful poet.

Tahilia Newland my newly made blogging friend. Her blogs focus on metaphysical literature and are generally inspirational.

Beverley Ann Hoyles writes a lovely blog with poetry and inspirational subjects such as ‘Gratitude.’ The focus of her books is healing from abuse.

Janet Beasley is just the best. Her blog is filled with generosity, cupcakes and chocolate. She is a wonderful author of epic fantasy and so generous to her fellow bloggers.

For those of you who wish to participate further, these are the rules I have been instructed to pass on… (I hope you don’t mind this part!)

1 Select the blog(s) you think deserve the ‘Blog of the Year 2012’ Award

2 Write a blog post and tell us about the blog(s) you have chosen – there’s no minimum or maximum number of blogs required – and ‘present’ them with their award.

3 Please include a link back to this page ‘Blog of the Year 2012’ Award – http://thethoughtpalette.co.uk/our-awards/blog-of-the-year-2012-award/   and include these ‘rules’ in your post (please don’t alter the rules or the badges!)

4 Let the blog(s) you have chosen know that you have given them this award and share the ‘rules’ with them

5 You can now also join our Facebook group – click ‘like’ on this page ‘Blog of the Year 2012’ Award Facebook group and then you can share your blog with an even wider audience

6 As a winner of the award – please add a link back to the blog that presented you with the award – and then proudly display the award on your blog and sidebar … and start collecting stars…

Yes – that’s right – there are stars to collect!

Unlike other awards which you can only add to your blog once – this award is different!

When you begin you will receive the ‘1 star’ award – and every time you are given the award by another blog – you can add another star!

There are a total of 6 stars to collect.

Which means that you can check out your favourite blogs – and even if they have already been given the award by someone else – you can still bestow it on them again and help them to reach the maximum 6 stars!

Thank you, Niamh. I am overjoyed that you nominated The Secret Keeper (me) for this award. It means a great deal coming from you. Your kind words about me move me. You are one of my great inspirations and supporters. You influence and encourage me to strive for more and to go deeper into myself. Always a good challenge. Writing poetry and haiku and eventually experimenting with some new style of poetry to me in the new year. I will always keep in the forefront writing about Bipolar and other mental health issues as well as other interests. I need to be eclectic for that is what inspires me and motivates me to keep creating for my blog and for other writing efforts. Thank you again. You quite took to me by surprise on this one, a very pleasant surprise, I might add. ;-) jk

Maybe that is true but I will still be available to teach you in case you may want to you them for some other purpose. Like hanging paintings or decorations. It is a good thing to know, making widgets. All sorts of things one can do with them. But no pressure, when you want to I will be there to teach you. No pressure. It has been a long and eventful night. Dreams are calling me. Thank you. Also, I loved your story but that is a comment on another post. 5***** stars-that’s what I felt about it. jk

Thank you very much for this – I am delighted to have met you on here. I have not spent very much time reading your blog, but I have been around enough to know that you are very interesting and that your outlook is similar to my own.
After Christmas i will come by and camp out for a while to do some proper reading. I’ll bring cake if you put the kettle on!
Best wishes for Christmas and the New Year!

Many thanks Niamh although I hardly feel worthy I’ve been such a slug lately. I feel humbled and grateful I made this list of fine artisans and friends. Thank you from the bottom of my heart!

yes, but your blog is always thoughtful, and everyone needs a rest sometimes. It doesn’t eradicate all the lovely work that has gone into it on the past!

Thank you so much for this nomination, Niamh! It’s such an honour to be included in this fascinating and eclectic group. I am going to decline participating in the rules at the moment as I simply have too much on my plate working toward a new launch in February. However I plan to slowly work my way through the list and look forward to getting to know these other bloggers. Namaste!

No problems, Patricia! nearly all the bloggers I know are so very busy and rarely take part in this sort of thing, including myself. I just wanted to acknowledge you. Have a lovely holiday!

Thank you again, Niamh. Your support of my work means so much to me. Some of these other blogs you’ve listed I’ve read, but others are new. Many of them I’ve been meaning to keep up with, but often fall behind on. Thanks for the reminder of these other interesting and compelling people. I’ll see what I can do.
